Jonathan Davis Comments on Fred Durst
I just read an Interview with Jon Davis and the creator of KoRnWeb.com and I came across this news. Some girl ask Jon Davis that she heard about how Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) said that they are now better than KoRn, from a topic in some magazine like Circus or Hit Parader. So she asked Jon herself. Then Jon Davis replied, "Well he is a saleout anyways. Look at em."
The same question was asked again by another fan 2 weeks later and Jon Davis replied, "No Comment".

Jonathan Davis Speaks Out on Fred Durst
In a recent online chat which took place on December 09th, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis shed some light on the status of the groups upcoming new album which is tentatively set to be released on May 01st through Immortal/Epic. Producer Michael Beinhorn (Soundgarden, Hole) has been confirmed for the record, although the group won't be able to finish off writing for at least 6 weeks as band drummer David Silveria recently underwent surgery this past Tuesday, December 19th to repair his long ailing wrist injury. Jonathan was also confronted with a statement that was allegedly said byLimp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst regarding Korn's album sales and popularity, the full transcription is as follows:

"Moderator: mOOnsHiNe says: Do you have any reactions about Fred's comment on Limp Bizkit surpassing and being better than KoRn?
Jonathan Davis: Did that cocksucker say that?
Moderator: Yes he did.
Jonathan Davis: When?
Moderator: in Hit Parader
Moderator: He said it in Hit Parader I'm guessing. I believe I read the article.
Jonathan Davis: Well it's time for me to put that sell out little bitch in his place. Never bite the hand that feeds."

It is unknown at the current time whether the comments were made jokingly or were meant to be disrespectful. For now, Jonathan will be hosting another chat this Saturday, December 23rd at 6pm PST/9pm EST, more details are available on the bands official website, www.korn.com.

Korn Starts Pre-Production on Album
Korn have started pre-production for their fifth album with producer Michael Beinhorn.

The band plans to release the as-yet-untitled album sometime during the first half of next year, a spokesperson said.

If Korn meet their target date, the LP will be their third release in as many years. Follow the Leader arrived in August 1998, and Issues was released in November 1999.

This is the first time Korn have teamed with Beinhorn, whose credits include Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals (1998), Hole's Celebrity Skin (1998), the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Mother's Milk (1989) and the Violent Femmes' Add It Up (1993).

After establishing their sound with producer Ross Robinson on their first two albums, the Beinhorn move continues the band's recent revolving-door approach to producers — Toby Wright and Steve Thompson handled Follow the Leader, while Brendan O'Brien worked on Issues.

Leader has sold 3.2 million copies, and Issues seems poised to match that, with sales in excess of 2.8 million copies.

Recording, Queens of The Damned
Korn and producer Michael Beinhorn are stepping into the studio to begin produciong on Korn's fifth album. The follow-up to "Issues" is set to hit stores in June/July through Immortal/Epic. Jonathan Davis is currently putting together his work on the score for the "Queen Of The Damned" film. The score will not feature vocals from Davis, as to to interfere with the Korn album, but will feature select vocal contributors. Plenty of info is on the way for "Queen Of The Damned".

Korn's Jonathan Davis Sued By Estranged Wife
In what might become known as the war of the black roses, Renee Davis, the estranged wife of Korn lead singer Jonathan Davis, is suing her husband for half of his income over the couple's nine-year relationship. The couple recently separated.

Renee filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (Aug. 9), claming Jonathan has failed to live up to his end of the bargain mutually agreed upon by the couple since they began their romantic relationship in 1991, while Jonathan was in the fledgling rock band Sex Art.

The suit claims Renee, since the age of 17, had taken care of the majority of Jonathan's personal matters, including caring for the couple's son, handling personal financial matters, caring for the couple's various homes, driving him around (the suit claims Jonathan has a severe fear of driving) -- you name it, she handled it. In return, according to the suit, Jonathan promised on numerous occasions to financially care for Renee and their son, Nathan Davis, for the rest of their lives.

The suit reads, in part, "On several occasions, [Jonathan] orally promised to take care of both [Renee] and their son for the rest of their respective lives, stating that he had enough financial resources for all of them. Relying upon this promise, at no time did [Renee] pursue any career or further schooling beyond her high school diploma, and she devoted herself solely to being [Jonathan's] companion and homemaker."

Renee claims the couple had an oral contract based on these alleged promises, and that their relationship consisted of "mutual interdependence, sharing of lives, caring, love, raising their son, and of commitment and support. It was also the common intention during the period of cohabitation that both parties have a beneficial interest in all property acquired during the relationship, and [Renee] relied on this intention, to her detriment."

The couple eventually married in November, 1998, several years after Jonathan allegedly asked Renee to stop working and solely care for "the defendant, the parties' home, and their son." Now, two years later, Renee is accusing Jonathan of a "scheme designed to deny [Renee] payment for the agreed upon services and/or her agreed portion of [Jonathan's income] stream from the albums released by the band Korn and all other related Korn entities."

The final straw appears to have come last August, when Jonathan allegedly promised to place the couple's new Los Angeles-area home in her name -- a promise the singer has allegedly failed to live up to. "The total amount by which the reasonable value of the work, labor, and services rendered by [Renee] exceeded the value of support received by [Renee] is unknown at this time. Said sum shall be determined at the time of trial."

Renee Davis is suing for breach of implied contract, declaratory relief, accounting and constructive trust, fraud, promissory estoppel, and quantum meruit.

Rumours of the fifth album's title are already in circulation with "Outside" as the first title. Thx to WhoThenNowItsOn@aol.com for the tip.

False Rumours About Manson
Manson manager Tony Ciulla insists that the band is too busy recording their next album to tour in the immediate future. "I can tell you Manson has no touring plans for this summer or fall," Ciulla told Rolling Stone. The tours that Manson is rumored to be attached to include headlining the Family Values tour, which kicks off in late September/early October, and touring with Nine Inch Nails in Winter.

Sick and Twisted
Korn plans to get "Sick and Twisted" when they hit the road with Papa Roach and Powerman 5000 at the end of July. 21 Year Old Falls to Death
A 21-year-old Connecticut man fell to his death from the upper deck of PSINet Stadium yesterday during a rock concert, police said. Police on Wednesday identified the man as Martin Muscheet of Danbury, Conn. Muscheet fell from an exterior railing onto the pavement outside the stadium Tuesday night during a Metallica concert, police said.
"It appears he had his legs over the railing and either fell or lost his balance," said Col. Robert Novak, a police spokesman.
Lee Stewart, a witness, said he saw the man's leg over the railing. "Next thing, I knew he flipped and fell head first," Stewart said. The concert continued despite the accident.
"I don't think most people inside realized what was going on," said concert-goer Steve Huber.
The death occurred during the Summer Sanitorium Tour, which featured the bands Metallica, Korn and Kid Rock.
